Integrating Juicing Into Your Diet

Integrating Juicing Into Your Diet

I have been asked many times, should I just juice or should I eat when I juice? When you only juice basically what you’re doing is a juice cleanse or juice fast. What I wanted to do when I started juicing was to intergrate juicing into my daily meals. That’s where I believe the real long term benefits of juicing are. Integrating juicing into your diet will improve your overall health. Studies show, only 20 percent of Americans eat five or more daily servings of fruits and vegetables, and a mere 5 percent consume seven servings. Integrating juicing into your...

48 Hour Juice Cleanse Results

Happy again. Yep, that’s all I can say, I’m happy again. After 48 hours of juicing and taking in nothing but fresh fruit and vegetable juice, I feel a whole lot better. As you may recall from my earlier post, Hiatus From Blogging But Not Juicing I had a few things I wanted to take care of with this 48 hour juice cleanse. A) I ate too much over the holidays and I felt bloated. I needed to loose weight, even if just a pound or two. B) My body wasn’t in balance (too acid). C) I had headaches, the occasional heartburn and I was experiencing some motion...

I really like this new book. I think one the most interesting things I’ve found in this book, Juicing for Life: A Guide to the Benefits of Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Juicing, is that during a juice fast Cherie Calbom presents a few unusual ideas. Not really unusual in my mind, but probably to a lot of those hard core juicers out there. 1. Cherie says, it’s okay to dilute any or all of these juices. I’ve always said that I think it’s a good idea to dilute fruit juice. I don’t do it all of the time, it just depends on how I feel. Sometimes I...

Juice Fast – 48 Hour Juice Cleanse Morni...

On day two of my juice fast I woke up a little bit later than usual. It’s Sunday and I don’t have to work today. I prefer doing my juice fasts on days that I don’t work. It just makes things go smoother. Immediately after waking I drink a tall glass of cool purified water. Just to get things going. Then I read and start to prepare for juicing my breakfast. This morning I think I’ll have my Energy Shake and a little Orange/Carrot Juice. See recipes below. From the book Juicing for Life: A Guide to the Benefits of Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Juicing:...

Juice Fast – 48 Hour Juice Cleanse...

After a morning of fasting and having plenty of water, I decided to go out for a jog. I feel good and lighter already. This juice fast is going by quickly. I don’t want to forget to mention it’s important to drink plenty of purified water when you’re on a juice fast and it’s also okay to have herbal tea. I had some in the morning and it sure tastes great. Juice Fast – Lunch For lunch I’ll be juicing parsley, carrots, garlic and celery. I don’t remember the last time I juiced garlic, but it sounds like it’ll be interesting to say...

Juice Fast – 48 Hour Juice Cleanse...

Today (6:00 AM this morning) I start my juice fast or more specifically my 48 hour juice cleanse. From the book  Juicing for Life: A Guide to the Benefits of Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Juicing I’ll be following the juice fast section on page 301. Juice fasts are an excellent way to detoxify your body and for those naysayers who claim the body doesn’t need cleansing, I’ll just say, try it! My morning recipe this time is the Ginger Hopper. I was hungry so I made a double batch ( Just double the recipe below). It made about 16 ounces using my  Omega J8004...
