Grape & Green | Kale, Spinach, Celery and Grapefruit

Okay fellow juicers, if you’re not used to kale then the Grape & Green is going to be a tough one to swallow. Just sayin  😉

However, if you like tangy grapefruit in a green vegetable juice, then this just might be the recipe for you!

If it wasn’t for the fabulous nutritional benefits in this juice recipe, I wouldn’t have made it and I’m glad I did now.

I’ve been looking for some good vegetable based juices with kale. Grape & Green has a strong kale flavor, but the grapefruit does help.

I didn’t care for it in the beginning, but after sipping it for a while and having it over ice, I found my taste does change. The ice cubes diluting it just a bit helps too.

The tangy grapefruit and salty celery cut right through the earthy taste of the greens in this rejuvenating juice. –  The Big Book of Juices

At first I thought I would be using grapes in the recipe, but no, this is using grapefruit. Some of you may hesitate as I did, but the Grape & Green isn’t that bad. This is a great rejuvenating, healthy, kale juice recipe.

Note: If you’re taking medication consult your health care professional. It’s been known for some time that grapefruit juice can interact badly with some medications.

I bet it’d get easier to down this stuff if you put some cayenne in there. 😉 The guys who made “V8 Hot & Spicy” were on to something. The heat makes it a lot easier to down the flavor if that’s not your thing.
