Hiatus From Blogging But Not Juicing
Yes, I’ve had a bit of a hiatus from my blogging life, but not from juicing. Since the holidays and vacation I’ve been reading more excellent books. My new favorite on juicing is Juicing for Life: A Guide to the Benefits of Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Juicing.
I have to admit though, during the Holidays it was hard to juice as much as I normally do. So much to do and so little time to do it. Before Christmas I purchased a Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice Extractor. That gave me a little extra incentive to keep up on the juice (new juicer excitement) and since it’s a faster juicer I could get some prepared quickly.
After the holidays, what’s the best thing to do? No. 1 for me – I think a cleanse is definitely in order. No. 2 for me – It’s time to get my trusty Omega J8004 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer back out.
If you’re like me you probably over did it on the turkey and pumpkin pie. My body just doesn’t feel right when I eat turkey three or four meals a week and have some pie thrown in too.
All of that meat and overcooked vegetables goes to my waist (I ate out a lot and with friends and family, so I didn’t do as much cooking). I could stand to lose a few pounds after this last holiday season. You just can’t say no to aunt Sue and her pie ya know? Afterall, you don’t want to hurt her feelings 😉
My intention to cleanse isn’t just to loose a couple of pounds, but to get back on track. My body isn’t in balance. I’m suffering a little from headaches, the occasional heartburn, some motion sickness ( I honestly don’t know where that’s coming from) and that dreaded word, constipation. Yep, I said it.
So let’s get down to business. First, a 48 hour cleanse and then I’ll start telling you why I like the book Juicing for Life: A Guide to the Benefits of Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Juicing.
Here are some recipes for that cleanse. Oh, that’s the next article 😀
Thanks for visiting Prime Juicers and remember, “There’s no-thing better for your body than fresh fruit and vegetable juice!”
